The I-Word is the New N-Word

December 19th, 2013

Inspired by Fox News Floats Impeachment Of President Obama Over ACA Rollout (Crooks and Liars 12/03/13), Republicans Try To Discuss Obama Impeachment Without Using The ‘I-Word’ (Talking Points Memo 12/04/13), and 15 years after Clinton, Congress loves the word ‘impeach’ again ( 12/19/13 14:09).

We may be starting to use the I-word before too long.” Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) back in May

I will tell you, as I have been home in my district, in the sixth district of Minnesota, there isn’t a weekend that hasn’t gone by that someone says to me, ‘Michele, what in the world are you all waiting for in Congress? Why aren’t you impeaching the president? He’s been making unconstitutional actions since he came into office.” – Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) a few days later

America isn’t like it was before:

Right-wingers can’t say the N-word anymore.

Having a black President sticks in their craw

(That’s the real reason they accuse him of breaking the law).

Oh, how they wish they could use that particular slur

Instead of having to address him as “sir.”

That would put him in his place

And remind him of the need to respect their superior race.

But they can’t that word, at least not in the public eye,

And need another way, Obama his dignity to deny.

So, they’ve come up with a new word to say

To take this President’s legitimacy away.

It doesn’t have the same powerful ring,

But down deep it still means the same thing.

It’s our job that kind of thinking and talking to discredit.

It’s our job to make them sorry they said it.

Here‘s Megyn Kelly asking if President Obama should be impeached.
