Inspired by Rev. Al’s discussion tonight of the fiscal cliff deal.

It’s the first time in over two decades
Republicans a revenue increase passed.
It won’t be the last.
Here’s Rev. Al’s 1/02/13 intro. I agree, Reverend, that there were good things about the deal too, but I’m worried that we may not have another chance to get more revenue on the table. At least some Republicans think that, e.g.: Dave Camp’s comment on the House floor that “this legislation settles the level of revenue Washington should bring in.”
Here’s Democrat Jim Moran on Hardball talking about his fear that this locks in current still-inadequate revenue levels for the forseeable future. That’s just what I was afraid of…
