RNC Chair Priebus Comes Out Against DOMA

Inspired by RNC Chair Reince Priebus’s surprising statement today on Andrea Mitchell.

“We believe ultimately that you can’t federalize that kind of mandate, which is why we believe that individual states can make those decisions on their own and they’re doing that across the country.” – RNC Chair Reince Priebus discussing same-sex marriage today on Andrea Mitchell

Thank you, RNC Chair Priebus for coming out today in opposition to DOMA,

Though I have to say your statement was tinged with hypocrisy’s aroma.

Republicans like Reince always for states rights clamor and cheer,

Except where the right is something they oppose or fear.

But I’m glad Reince took the time, his view on DOMA to clarify,

Which I suspect the right-wing blogosphere will terrify.

So watch for all the “clarifications” soon forthcoming from the RNC

Clarifying that “state rights” are only what Republicans want them to be.
