Sometimes I don’t understand why

You buy plants just to let them die.

They always do, without exception.

Is it just a matter of self-deception?

Do you think that this time you won’t forget

To make sure they regularly some water get?

It never ceases to amaze,

But I guess that we’re all like that in some ways.

We think that everything will be better then,

But we make the same mistakes, again and again.

Einstein said insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome;

I guess by that definition we’re all at least a little crazy, or dumb.

Then again, maybe it’s a good thing

That we think the future something better will bring.
