PS on the threat to marriage

As a follow-up to my earlier post, I did in fact leave out part of Matthew 19 that Conservative Christians often refer to as justification for restricting gay marriage.

As many a Conservative Christian states

Mathew 19:5 articulates

“A man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife”

(as previously stated, hopefully for life)

“And the two shall become one flesh”

(in case of prior divorce, start afresh).

Doesn’t that say

That marriage can’t be gay?

If that’s the correct interpretation

Then staying single is also an abomination.
