Starting With Nothing
Monday, March 26th, 2012
Inspired by Brian Kilmeade’s whopper about Mitt Romney’s rags-to-riches life story.
“You can also say that Mitt Romney started with nothing. (You’d be lying, of course, but you can say that).” — Brian Swillscrede on Fox News (I added the parenthetical part)
There are lots of things a person who doesn’t mind lying can say–
For example, what Brian Kilmeade said on Fox News today.
When Brian said Romney started with nothing, he wasn’t technically lying–
Strictly speaking, he was only an untruth implying.
So Lawrence, you owe Brian and Fox News an apology:
You CAN say he was lying, but that wouldn’t be the right terminology.
