666 (or: Is My Blog Satanic?)

Today my blog reached another milestone,

Attained among political poets by me alone.

This is my 666^th poem

(If you print them out, it’s quite a tome).

But does this number of posts suggest

Some demonic nature which my poems infest?

I’m sure random conservative readers would have that view,

But does that mean it isn’t true?

What if my poems are inspired by the Devil?

Might that be true, on some level?

Actually, Lucifer has been the inspiration for several of my poems,

Often in the person of Glenn Beck and his satanic gnomes.

But I still won’t be celebrating with any satanic rites

(I’ll leave that to the Satanic Right).
