My Studies

Friday, October 12th, 2012

Inspired by the “studies” that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan keep talking about.

“I will not under any circumstances raise taxes on middle-income families. I will lower taxes on middle-income families. Now, you cite a study. There are six other studies that looked at the study you describe and say it’s completely wrong.” – Mitt Romney in first presidential debate

“Six studies have guaranteed, six studies have verified that this math adds up.” — Paul Ryan at debate last night

“He said there are six studies. Three of those six studies are blog posts, and one of them is by a research assistant at AEI, which is one of the big ideological marketing organizations… But blog posts, those are studies that prove things? That’s hilarious.” — David Cay Johnson tonight on the Ed Show

Isn’t it funny how Mitt and his buddies

Have tried to shore up his tax plan with six pseudo-studies?

Given how Newsericks.com has grown,

I’ve now got quite a few studies of my own.

I’ve completed 800 studies on the GOP

And 373 on hypocrisy.

I have 180 comprehensive studies on Mitt

Conclusively proving he’s full of shit.

I even have 22 studies on Paul Ryan,

Many of which document his repeated lyin’.

Sure, you’ve got your “studies,” but I’ve got more.

Now, will you please not talk about those “studies” anymore?

Here’s David Cay Johnson 10/12/12 on the Ed Show discussing Romney’s tax plan and the “studies” that supposedly support it. (Ryan’s quote is at the 1”20 mark; Johnson’s is at the 2”25 mark.)
