Not a Fact-Finding Mission

Tuesday, October 9th, 2012

Inspired by Rep. Jason Chaffetz’s appearance on Andrea Mitchell this afternoon.

“The House Oversight Committee is investigating whether the Administration overlooked critical warnings before the terrorist attack in Benghazion September 11 that killed U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. Congressman Jason Chaffetz chairs the House Subcommittee on National Security and has just returned from a fact-finding mission in Benghazi.” – Andrea Mitchell introducing Rep. Chaffetz

Tell us, Rep. Chaffetz, did that guy you dislike

Negligently ignore warnings of a terrorist strike?

Wait, wait don’t answer—let me guess:

Could it be that your answer is “yes”?

And Andrea: it’s one thing to give a Congressman all due respect,

But another to say something that’s just not correct.

It turns out Jason didn’t make it to Benghazi after all,

But that didn’t slow down his finger-pointing at all.

Instead, he visited the Embassy in Tripoli for “most all the day,”

After which he surprisingly had only disparaging things to say.

Sorry, but that trip shouldn’t be called a fact-finding mission.

It deserves to be called what it was: an attack-finding mission.

Here’s Chaffetz today on Mitchell Reports.
