Self-Pity Party
November 2nd, 2011
Inspired by Debt committee secrecy worries GOP freshmen: Lawmakers concerned that private talks will result in a deal they can’t approve (Rosalind Helderman,Washington Post11/02/11).
The GOP freshmen have gone from mouth-foaming rabies
To whining and crying like a bunch of big babies.
“Why won’t everyone pay attention only to me?
Why can’t everything be exactly how I want it to be?”
“Why won’t you give me absolute authority
Even though I’m just a tiny minority.”
Congress seems to finally understand
That it doesn’t have to give in to your every demand.
Even Tea Party voters no longer support your positions,
So how in the world do you justify your decisions?
If you’re out of the loop, it’s your own stupid fault
For trying to drive the United States into default.
Your Speaker negotiated a $4 trillion deficit reduction that was 80% cuts,
But you zealots couldn’t stop acting like a bunch of immature nuts.
That promising attempt at deficit reduction
Failed because of your obstruction.
You say you want to be in the process involved,
But your involvement is what left our deficit problems unresolved.
I hope that your loss of influence has only just begun,
Because cutting you out is the only way to get anything done.
