Inspired by “53 Republicans Seek Ouster of Obama Schools Official” (New York Times 10/15/09) and “Montgomery students thrill to hear from the reader in chief” (Washington Post 10/20/09) reporting on the President’s visit to a local grade-school yesterday. Fifty-three House Republicans wrote a letter to Obama asking for school safety official Kevin Jennings to be fired because of he advocates teaching tolerance of homosexuality. “As the founder of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, Mr. Jennings has played an integral role in promoting homosexuality and pushing a pro-homosexual agenda in America’s schools — an agenda that runs counter to the values that many parents desire to instill in their children,” wrote the 53. They cite as further evidence the foreword Mr. Jennings wrote for the book Queering Elementary Education: Advancing the Dialogue about Sexualities and Schooling, in which he said: “We must address antigay bigotry and we must do it as soon as students start going to school.” Thank you, you brave 53, for standing up for the rights of anti-gay parents to pass their homophobia on to their children without the untoward interference of their being taught tolerance.

In calling on the President

His school safety official to dismiss.

Without you we wouldn’t have known

Something so horrible was amiss.

Without you we’d certainly have fallen

Into the homosexual abyss.

 

I never understood before

What is this homosexual agenda that you oppose.

What is it anyway

That those damn gays propose?

 

No you’ve made it perfectly clear,

And said for the world to hear.

The thing about gays that we must fear

Is teaching tolerance for people who are queer.

 

You send your kids to school;

God forbid they’d learn the Golden Rule.

 

Obama visited a grade-school yesterday.

I hate to think about all the homo-socialist things he must say.
