Obama’s Been Leadin’, They’ve Been Lyin’
May 3rd, 2011
Inspired by President Obama’s announcement of Osama bin Laden’s death (read Osama bin Laden killed in U.S. raid, buried at sea for more info).
Bush had over 7 years, but couldn’t do it,
In spite of his bombast that there would be nothin’ to it.
He had Osama trapped, but then let him escape
(For more on that, watch the Last Word videotape).
“I truly am not that concerned about him,” Bush then said,
While Obama made catching or killing Bin Laden a priority instead.
Obama tracked him down and gave the order,
For US Special Forces to secretly cross the Pakistani border.
Gutsy, since a failed op would have seriously hurt Obama politically.
(Do you think that Republicans and Fox might have reacted critically?)
But the GOP leadership still can’t bring themselves to commend him,
Beyond to Bush’s “vigilance” and “efforts” to append him.
Boehner and Cantor think it was Bush, not Obama
Who really deserves credit for killing Osama.
All Obama did was finish the work that Bush began,
Carrying out the final step of a Republican master plan.
Then again, if Obama had been just a continuation of Bush,
Wouldn’t Bin Laden still be lounging in his villa below the Hindu Kush?
