Not the Time

March 24th, 2011

“I don’t think right after a major environmental catastrophe is a very good time to be making American domestic policy.” – Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY Jelly)

As with mass shootings and oil spills, says the Senate’s anti-regulatory master,

One should never consider new regulations after an environmental disaster.

Big Business (and the politicians paid, its interests to represent),

Know one should never make such decisions in the heat of the moment

It’s also not time to discuss regulation after time has passed,

Because by then, the catastrophe will be in the past.

Why discuss regulation so long after a tragedy occurred?

After all, that would just be absurd.

Here’s Stephen Colbert’s 3/23/11 report.
