Inspired by Romney files application to quadruple size of home (Washington Post8/22/11).

Mitt Romney owns 4 houses in all,

But one of them is a little too small.

 

Actually, now he only owns two–

Selling the others was the politically prudent thing to do.

 

(He didn’t want to make the same mistake as John McCain,

Who owned so many houses he couldn’t say which was his main.)

 

The one he’s rebuilding is a $12 million beachfront mansion

Sorely in need of significant expansion.

 

So he’s razing it to build one four times the size,

Which in the middle of an election campaign doesn’t seem wise.

 

Mitt says they need the space for when the grandkids come over.

(He’ll have plenty of time to visit when his presidential bid’s over.)
