Gay marriage 2

A follow up to my earlier newsericks 7/20/09 “Gay Marriage Rights” and 9/02/09
“DC Archbishop Opposition to Gay Marriage”. Disclaimer: I’m actually not gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that), but the poem worked best in the first person, so I went with that.
Some people say
I shouldn’t marry because I’m gay
But that is to betray
The basic principle of the USA.
Marriage equality
Is not a frivolity.
How would you like to be
A second class citizen like me?
