Inspired by Scientist Calls on Apple to Denounce and Remove “Ex-Gay Therapy” App, “Curing” Gay People? There’s an App for That, and Exodus International Says God Wants Them to “Cure” Gay People Through iPhones (Michael A. Jones, Change.org).
“This new iPhone app is the latest move in Exodus’ dangerous new strategy of targeting youth. In light of the recent wave of LGBT youth suicides, this tactic is particularly galling as it creates, legitimizes, and fuels the ostracism of LGBT youth by their families. According to a study published in the Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics, LGBT teens who experienced negative feedback from their family were 8 times more likely to have attempted suicide, 6 times as vulnerable to severe depression, and 3 times more likely to use drugs.” – Petition to Apple to remove Exodus International app
Are you an iPhone user who’s gay?
Now there’s an app to take your sinfulness away.
It’s so great that we can now combine technology
With anti-scientific anti-gay theology.
“Conversion therapy” lacks even a shred of scientific support,
So it’s ironic Exodus is using technology the truth to distort.
Exodus has no right to use iPhones as their platform
To continue their self-righteous effort to misinform.
Help stop Exodus from using iPhones to spread their message of hate more.
Click here to tell Apple that it’s time for Exodus to exit the app store.
And hey Exodus, I think that’s God on call-waiting,
And He doesn’t approve of your pseudo-scientific hating.
