Cheney Surprise
February 19th, 2010
Our first CPAC “Dirty Dozen” profile, inspired by Dick Cheney Makes Surprise Appearance At CPAC, Re-Uses Past Line (Huffington Post 2/18/10), Excited GOP: Energy on the right, divisions within (WashingtonPost.com 2/18/10).
Dick Cheney made a surprise appearance
To the great delight of his CPAC adherents
“Cheney 2012!” yelled one, and Cheney flashed a huge smile
(He hasn’t had a reception like that in a while).
“A welcome like that is almost enough to make me want to run for office again,” he teased,
Apparently at the suggestion quite pleased.
“I think 2010 is going to be a phenomenal year for the conservative cause,” he avowed,
“And I think Barrack Obama is a one-term president,” throwing red meat to the crowd.
I notice that this time you waited until Joe wasn’t around to spoil the celebration
(He’s in Canada leading the US Olympic delegation).
