Marriage

Things have been tough in the last few years.

Love, untended, sometimes disappears.

Still, it’s worth trying again

To get it back again.

I’m sorry for the things I did

(Still, nothing our wedding vows would forbid).

I don’t want to throw it all away.

But if you won’t reconsider, then at least delay.

In spite of what recent years imply,

I do think that if we both try

We could make things work out,

And that’s what marriage is all about.
