Boehner still a complainer
September 17th, 2009
A follow up to my limerick of 7/11/09 – Boehner the Complainer. In the 9/08/09 Washington Post, House Minority Leader Boehner (R-OH) is quoted as saying “The people of Ohio and the nation are asking one simple question: Where are the jobs? …Our country has lost approximately 2.4 million private sector jobs since the Democrats’ trillion-dollar stimulus was enacted and it is long past time for Democratic leaders to abandon this job-killing agenda.”
Boehner, Boehner, still a complainer.
“Where are the jobs?” you ask.
As Obama confronts the Herculean task
Of trying to fix the mess you left him
While with every move you contest him.
Boehner, Boehner, still a complainer.
You’re not a doctor so you might not know
That when for a second opinion you go
The second doctor isn’t at fault
If you’re still suffering from the first one’s assault.
Boehner, Boehner, still a complainer.
You say it’s “long past time” to abandon this “job-killing agenda.”
I guess you want to switch
Back to your policy of more tax cuts for the rich.
Boehner, Boehner, still a complainer.
“Where are the jobs,” you cajole.
They’re in that giant economic black hole
Created by the party you control
When you flushed America down the toilet bowl.
Boehner, Boehner, still a complainer.
“Where are the jobs?”
Mr. Minority Leader, I think it’s well-known
That the only job you really care about is your own.
