Birth Rights and Wrongs (or: Anchor Baby? Maybe.)

Inspired by Several states want court ruling on birthright citizenship (Washington Post 1/06/11).
Republicans love the Constitution,
Except when they’re proposing its dissolution.
Now they’d like to eliminate one of our most basic rights
(Somebody’s got to do something about all those non-whites).
The right to be an American if you’re born here
Is one they’d rather see disappear.
Isn’t it possible that just maybe
Some of them are descended from an anchor baby?
