Inspired by Rush Limbaugh’s continued musings on the reason for successful black people.“If Obama weren’t black he’d be a tour guide in Honolulu or he’d be teaching Saul Alinsky Constitutional Law, or lecturing on it in Chicago. He wouldn’t have been voted President if he weren’t black.” – Rush on his radio show “The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well.” – then-ESPN commentator Rush Limbaugh, arguing in 2003 that Donovan McNabb (then with the Eagles) was “overrated” because he’s black (for which Limbaugh was forced to resign)
Black people who fame and/or fortune have built
Have done so solely because of white liberal guilt.
So anyway says the Great White Whale,
Who continues Obama for his reverse racism to assail.
Now he’s also attacking the Queen of Daytime TV,
Which seems like a bad idea to me.
(As Keith said, Oprah can “crush this schmuck,”
And she will exercise that power, with any luck.)
Rush said the same about Redskins QB Donovan McNabb
(Another attempt to rip off the country’s racial scab).
He got fired for that comment, so maybe he’s still aggrieved,
And blames successful blacks for the mistreatment he received.
Maybe Donovan did get off to a slow start in 2003,
So go ahead and say he stinks, that doesn’t matter to me.
Rush, it’s one thing for you McNabb, Obama, and Oprah to attack.
It’s another (and worse) to say their success is because they’re black.
Here’s Keith Olbermann’s 7/07/10 “Worst Persons” commentary. And the winner is… Rush Limbaugh.
