No Compromise (or, Liberalism Is Evil)
November 5th, 2010
Inspired by Rachel’s medley of no compromise.
“The Obama-Pelosi agenda is being rejected by the American people.”. — Majority Leader Elect Boehner (but I guess they still like the Reid agenda)
“As I see it, the White House has a choice. They can change course, or they can double down on a vision of government that the American people have roundly rejected. If they chose the former, they’ll find a partner in Republicans. If they don’t, we’ll have more disagreements ahead.” — Mitch again
“This is not a time for compromise, and I can tell you Sean that we will not compromise.” — Boehner again (talking to GOP promoter Sean Hannity)
“Where is there room for any compromise with Marxism, or Socialism, or Liberalism? Where is the compromise with evil?” – Republican Grand Poobah Rush Limbaugh
Republicans say that the Dem agenda has been rejected,
As evidenced by all the Republicans that have been elected.
Because of that, they say Obama should with what they want go along.
Funny, but that’s exactly what they were saying all along.
But the core Republican principle has indeed changed
(Or more accurately, been re-arranged).
They’ve gone from “We’re not going to compromise just because we lost”
To “we’re not going to compromise because we won.”
And though the concept to liberals might seem strange,
It turns out Republicans are capable of change.
Of course, the “principled” view remains unchanged,
As ably expressed by the Right’s most deranged.
How can one with pure evil compromise?
So what is it, Mr. Limbaugh, that you advise?
