Inspired by Hawaii House approves civil unions, sends bill to Republican governor (San Diego Gay & Lesbian News 4/30/10).
We welcome Hawaii to the group of states
That at basic marriage equality for gays creates.
True, it’s “just” a civil union, but that’s much better than nothing at all
(It offers many of the same practical benefits, after all).
That is, assuming that the bill is approved by Governor Lingle.
If not, gays in Hawaii will have to stay single.
