National Poetry Month (or, I Dwell in Possibility)
Friday, April 30th, 2010
Inspired by the great Bill Murray.
Of Chambers as the Cedars Impregnable of Eye And for an Everlasting Roof The Gambrels of the Sky
Of Visitors—the fairest For Occupation—This The spreading wide of narrow Hands To gather Paradise. – Emily Dickenson
I dwell in possibility too,
And I know recent years have been tough for you.
I loved you in all the movies I’ve seen,
From Meatballs to Zombieland (plus a few in between).
Still, if you’re looking for more poetry reading work
(And don’t mind if the poems still need work),
I’d be honored if you’d read some of mine.
(Email me the link and I’ll post the video online.)
If that’s something you’d be willing to do
We could even split the ad revenue.

Here’s Rachel’s 4/30/10 segment on National Poetry Month, starring Bill Murray reading “I Dwell in Possibility” (by Emily Dickinson) to some New York construction workers. (Did someone check their IDs to make sure none of them were illegal aliens?)
