Melted Snow
Sunday, February 28th, 2010
A follow-up to our earlier posts (Snowmageddon and Snoverkill) about the big snow in DC.

The snow has mostly melted.
All that’s left is the dirty piles, blackened by pollution,
And overflowing garbage cans that haven’t been emptied
And trash and litter on the ground the snow had previously covered
And soggy dog crap that people didn’t bother to clean up.
Back to the real world,
The world that the layer of clean, white snow had temporarily hidden,
The world that is so messed up and polluted that we can never clean it up.
But we have to try
To at least clean it up a little.
